Pre-Dance Communication

On behalf of all of the event committees and volunteers, we are excited to celebrate our 8th grade students as they finish out the year and move on to high school!

This is a great chance for them to have some fun with their friends, as they dance in the Middlebrook Café, eat snacks, mingle, play games and....just be kids.

Please remind your child that this is a school sponsored event and they are expected to follow school rules regarding behavior. School Rules

Drop-off and pick-up will be in the back lot at the drop-off/ pick-up loop. Students enter and exit the dance at the awning by the auditorium. Students are asked to please meet cars and their responsible adults along the sidewalk and not cross the driveway or parking lot. Students will be asked to stay for the entire event from 6PM-8 PM, leaving & reentry is not permitted. We will have a printed list of registered participants at check-in, a printed ticket or digital copy on a phone can help speed up check-in but is not required.

Students should not use cell phones or mobile devices during the event. Students agree to not use cell phones or mobile devices during the event, particularly for the purpose of taking photos or video. Students and families can enjoy a photo opportunity at the entrance/exit of the event outside.

Dress: Come as you are. Some students like to dress semi formal for this event, but feel free to be more casual if it’s more your vibe...You do you!

Food: There will be a selection of hot and cold appetizer-style food (for example spring rolls, chicken dumpling, chicken tenders, mac and cheese bites, fruit and vegetable platter, and more!), dessert table (donated and/or baked by our families - thank you!), and a candy table for a sweet treat later. Included are items that are nut free and consideration for sensitivities such as egg, dairy, and gluten free. If you have a specific concern, please reach out.

Activities: Most or all of the activities (such as DJ/Dancing, Photo Booth, and some games) are indoors and all food is indoors in the Café area. We may use the courtyard adjacent to the Café for outdoor games if conditions permit this evening and will consult with school for guidance. Any outdoor areas, if used, are optional and students will be able to enjoy the event entirely indoors.

We look forward to seeing our kiddos having fun.

Please reach out with any questions.
